Northwind Solutions provides a complete construction solution to the solar industry.  Our construction services include ground mount (fixed and tracking) and commercial roof-top installations. Northwind provides complete EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) services.

Project Operation and Maintenance:

Similar to our industrial wind O&M service offerings; we provide a complete suite of services which are essential to ensuring the ongoing value and production life of solar projects. We provide a number of services within our Solar maintenance program including:

• Infrared thermography
• Panel cleaning requirements
• Voltage and current testing including switches and disconnect requirements
• Thorough mechanical checks and greasing requirements
• Inverter maintenance requirements
• Bolt torque checks and re-torques on all mechanical requirements
• Structural inspections

Remote Project Monitoring:

Northwind has 2 dedicated remote monitoring locations which include 24 hour, 7 days per week project monitoring. The 2-location model provides redundancy in the event of any interruptions.  This service offering includes technician dispatch processes that are managed through our enterprise CMMS system (IBM Maximo).

Construction and Maintenance Event Reporting:

Northwind's enterprise asset management system is IBM Maximo. Our Maximo implementation is capable of recording all desired facets of construction and ongoing maintenance activities. This information includes images, measurement values as well as the as-found maintenance conditions and task completion requirements.  The ability to capture this information in the field in an effective manner allows for reporting of information which leads to the knowledge to take cost effective, corrective measures to maximize solar project value and production.
